MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
Mindfulness meditation can be a great adjunct to therapy. It has been described as relationship training with oneself. Through practice in paying attention to the present moment it's possible to develop enough awareness to choose to respond thoughtfully rather than react self-destructively to what life throws at you. You can develop increasing compassion for yourself and for others. Mindfulness is also a highly effective tool in managing worries, obsessions and ruminations.
